Muster rolls, 31 August 1863 and 1 June 1865.

Two Civil War muster rolls of Company C of the 83rd Indiana Infantry. One for the pay period between 30 June 1863 and 31 August 1863, and one muster out roll dated 1 June 1865. The regiment was commanded by Lieut. Col. George H. Scott and most of the soldiers in the company were mustered in at Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Rising Sun, Indiana. As indicated in a brief description of activities between June and August 1863, the company served at Vicksburg and later marched to Camp Sherman, Mississippi. The muster out roll lists killed, wounded, and deserted soldiers.
